5th annual "Big Fighters, Big Cause" Charity Boxing Night

Sugar Ray Leonard Charity Night in Santa Monica

Established in 2009, the Sugar Ray Leonard Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Juvenile Diabetes and fighting the destructive force of Childhood Obesity. By funding awareness campaigns and research, boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard and his wife Bernadette aspire to eradicate these terrible diseases in their lifetime. Charity events like "Big Fighters, Big Cause," right outside our Santa Monica Pier hotel, help serve this inspiring goal, bringing professional athletes, celebrities, legendary sports stars, corporate investors, boxing fans, and over 1,500 guests together for a great cause.

Why Sugar Ray?

Sugar Ray Leonard is personally invested in the fight against Juvenile Diabetes. He witnessed the scourge of Type 1 diabetes afflict his father and close friends, as early onset Type 2 diabetes cripples our nation's youth, largely due to childhood obesity. In light of all this, the 6-time world championship boxer and lifelong fitness guru sees his chance to help, lending his celebrity for positive change in every way he can.

Silent Auction & Gourmet Food

This invite-only event draws over 1,000 high-profile guests, with ringside seating, thrilling boxing matches, a Golden Glove Lounge, private bar, and locally curated fine food. There will also be live and silent auctions throughout the night, in which attendees can bid on priceless sports memorabilia, unique items, and unforgettable experiences.
